Welcome to Rasui Bengals! Home of Champion Bloodline Bengal Kittens for sale in Missouri.
The Bengal cat originated in 1963 when Jean S. Mill crossed a domestic cat with the Asian Leopard cat producing the Foundation cats (F1, F2, F3) Bengals, which are the basis for the modern day Bengal. Foundation Bengals are only used for breeding purposes and are not eligible to show or for pets. The modern Bengals have been bred down from these cats starting in the early 80's and have the exotic patterning and spotting similar to that of a leopard or a distinctive marbling (a recessive trait) similar to more of a tiger stripe look.
Bengals were recognized by TICA (The International Cat Assocation) as a new breed in 1986. Since then the Bengal has been carefully bred by several catteries in the United States and all over the world and has been wildly popular due to their exotic coats and matching personalities. Today's Bengal is a medium-sized cat, weighing approximately 6-15 pounds, with males typically being larger than females.
They are short-haired with extremely soft coats and typically don't shed very much at all. Many people with allergies to cats have found that they can tolerate a bengal without any problems. Bengals personalities are as beautiful and individual as their coat pattern. They are very active, energetic, curious and love being everywhere they are not supposed to be, such as up high (on top of your refrigerator, etc.). Although being very playful, they are also very loveable and once bonded with a human love to sleep with them or be around them all of the time.
They have also been known to have an affinity for water, unlike most cats.I have been raising Bengals for eight years and just recently started showing. I championed Rasui Azizi in his first and only show so far and plan on going further with him. In case you were wondering Rasui stands for dream in Egyptian.
